The False Memory Archive

‘The False Memory Archive’ is an exploration of second hand memories. Using photographs taken by willing participants on 35mm film, I am working with images that represent the memories of others; allowing me to consider how those memories could be interpreted and to what extent their memories become, consciously or subconsciously, entwined or confused with my own imperfect memory.

‘The False Memory Archive’ will affect the experience of viewing the works and illustrates the process and vulnerability of our memories; challenging the audience to visually explore the pieces through unconventional and non-linear presentation, attempting to represent how easily we can interpret someone else’s memory as one of our own.
